Why I'm running AI SEO experiments in public
Introducing HZ — a site for testing what actually makes content get cited by AI engines, with the data shared openly.
Most AI SEO advice is asserted, not tested. HZ is my attempt to fix that for myself: run controlled experiments on how AI answer engines discover and cite content, then publish the results — wins, failures, and raw numbers — in public.
Update, July 2026: the first experiment already has a number — Google indexed 10 of our first 16 pages in a median of 3 days while Bing crawled 0 of 16 (Experiment 01, live data).
Here’s what’s coming, and why I think doing this openly is itself good for being cited.
